Graphics Design Internship

The role of a Luxury Matchmaking Services Graphic Design intern is to work closely with the marketing team in developing design assets for web, social, print, and trade show needs. This is a perfect opportunity to learn about file prepping, managing deadlines, and optimizing design skills with tasks assigned to an array of media outlets/types. Graphic designers also follow the latest trends in design, advertising, and marketing, help attract clients to the company. Target demographics consist of single men and women in the United States who are interested in dating or relationship advice. The Luxury Matchmaking Services team currently has members with graphic design and advertising agency backgrounds. Again, a perfect learning opportunity and fun prospect for a graphic design intern.

THE FUTURE OF GRAPHICS DESIGNERS

Graphics design jobs will grow at an average pace over the next 10 years, according to the BLS. But the focus will shift from older print media to newer media. Being technologically savvy will help potential creative directors

Responsibilities:

– Work with the marketing team to develop:

  • Images that compliment blog posts
  • Social media posts and headers
  • Graphic for website platforms
  • Print media and collateral
  • Flyers and brochures
  • Trade show displays
  • Photo clean up and editing for product images
  • Creativity: Graphics designers will invent new ideas for branding, advertising campaigns, and marketing messages. They need to understand design and smart copy and recognize fresh approaches to advertising.
  • Interpersonal Skills: Graphics designers will meet with corporate heads on a regular basis. Being a good communicator to all involved will help greatly.
  • Management Skills: Graphics designers often have to keep many creatives on schedule, and manage their own time.

Required work experience:

  • This is an internship position so we are here to assist in establishing early experience
  • Any existing design experience for established brands is a plus

Skills:

  • Self-starter and independent
  • Proficient in Adobe Create Suites – Photoshop, Illustrator, Indesign, Aftereffects, and more
  • Proficient in Microsoft office platforms
  • The knowledge base of web design
  • Advertising/Marketing experience a plus.

Length:

  •  This internship typically runs part-time for 4 – 12 weeks with some flexibility

Compensation

  • This is an unpaid  internship that offers experience and professional guidance in learning value added for online advertising
